i have been successful now with slackware and window managers again after 25-30 years i think now :D well elaborating, i have the two 'faster' thinkpads running xfce in the slackware now. but the thinkpad r40 is pretty old, and 32bit. ya know.

they just made the default fvwm configs leet :x

hehe, anyways, my lowest camera and my slowest pc.

my bias is hazing this post i will note i think. i had been trying to get a wallpaper/ background image or at least another color background. and i finally got an image to show up full screen on one desktop that 'could' be used as a background, but. i'm accepting that this default setup for the 'wallpaper effect' they pulled off is impressive. but i was just taking in how awesome the space was, and it seemed ok to share at this 'early point' my 'offline' (no internet/ air gapped) setup. (setup being the weakest the kodak camera, and i think 20 year old(est) 'ibm' thinkpad (?))
